Who?
I am Ermin Jagurdzija and I am a student of landscape architecture in the Netherlands. My deep admiration for science and technology can be seen in the designs I make. Although I am trained as landscape architect, I cant help but to try and design buildings, bridges and many more. This is properly due to the fact that my curiosity leads to many interests and seeing similarities, connections, and the cross-implications of them.
The word Nauka means science in Slavic languages. So fully translated Nauka-Design means science-design. The inventor, architect and designer Richard Buckminster Fuller coined the term design science. By this he meant designing living spaces with intelligent use of resources and extrapolating on science and engineering trends. Since he was such a big influence in my thinking, it seemed most logical to choose the name Nauka-Design.
What?
Nauka mostly makes (landscape-) architecture plans of unbuild spaces. Next to renderings of this sort, it creates renders or animations of products, furniture designs and garden designs. The website also functions as my online portfolio for the assignments I finished for the University.
